Old mulch that has completely broken down or become compacted can do more harm than good ... it can harbor fungal disease, block water infiltration, and provide little benefit to plants. Professional mulch removal clears beds down to bare soil so fresh mulch can be applied correctly. This service is often paired with fresh installation.
